Business Development (BD) professionals work closely with business colleagues locally and globally to deliver optimal client service and develop innovative commercial initiatives. BD professionals drive go-to-market strategies, act as central coordinators within multidisciplinary client teams, lead major commercial projects, and strengthen strategic relationships with key clients and partners. 

What you will do - How can you make a lasting impact in a rapidly changing world?

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sustainability Campaign Go-To-Market Lead to champion our sustainability initiatives and expand EY’s presence in this critical sector. This role is pivotal both in advancing our sustainability agenda internally and growing our market share externally.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing strategic sales plans for sustainability campaigns, achieving revenue targets and leading business development from initial prospecting to closure. This involves pipeline development, analysis, and recommendations for growth, as well as support got major business.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients by identifying their sustainability needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Ensuring exceptional client service is incorporated in all external and internal encounters.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor actions to guide strategic decision-making and maximize growth opportunities within the sustainability sector.
  • Collaborating with marketing and cross-functional teams to implement successful sustainability initiatives and support major events at local and international levels.
  • Representing EY Sustainability at national and international events, raising our profile in the market.
  • Fostering a strong internal identity and community around EY Sustainability, promoting knowledge sharing, success stories, cross-service line collaboration, and increased awareness of EY’s sustainability offerings.
  • Continuously identifying and proposing solutions for operational improvements. 

What we look for – Where do you start if you want to change the world?

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development and sales in similar fields and organizations, ideally focused on sustainability.
  • Proven strategic leader with expertise in shaping GTM strategies and driving change.
  • Track record of delivering growth in complex B2B environments.
  • Strong collaborator and influencer across teams.
  • Trusted advisor who builds client relationships that deliver long-term value.
  • Strong communicator able to engage senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Analytical, KPI-driven, and data-oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet sales targets.
  • Flexible, hands-on mindset, especially in the first years of launching the new approach.

With the new scheme you choose the most diverse sustainable options via the EY My Daily Travel app or online environment. Think of the use of lease bicycles, electric shared scooters, electric shared cars, flexible lease cars and various subscriptions for public transport. You can also view your CO2 footprint via the app.
  • Bicycle arrangement: finance the purchase cost of your new bicycle from your gross monthly salary (purchase cost amount divided over 12 months) or from your non-statutory holiday entitlement.
  • Pension scheme: you will build up a pension capital directly after your start at EY. Each month the available premium amount is transferred for you in an investment account at our pension provider. Depending on your rank the pre employment screening could contain the following: Certificate of Conduct (in Dutch: VOG) or - if requesting a Dutch VOG is not possible - Criminal Background Check of the country you are currently living or have lived during the last five years, integrity questionnaire, verification of ID, diploma’s and/or work experience and consultation of the Dutch insolvency registry.
