About the job
We are seeking a Global ESG Controller to be based in our office in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. This role supports Fagron’s global sustainability ambitions, leading the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives and ensuring correct ESG data across all regions.
As a listed company, Fagron reports in accordance with the CSRD (Corporate Sustainable Reporting Directive). Our ambition, however, goes beyond compliance. In 2024, Fagron launched its updated ESG strategy: "Future Forward: Personalizing Medicine," which champions greater access to personalized medicine while growing responsibly as an employer, business partner, and science-based enabler. Our approach to sustainability is embedded across our three pillars: People, Operations, and Compounding.
We continue to advance our global ESG monitoring and reporting systems, addressing amongst others greenhouse gas emissions, occupational health, waste management and pollutants. As Global ESG Controller, you will be the central link connecting the Global ESG team, regional and local operations, and the leadership, ensuring the professionalization of our ESG data, reporting, and governance across all Fagron locations. Your work will be vital to realizing our global sustainability targets.
Your Responsibilities
- Optimize, implement, and oversee global ESG control frameworks and processes to guarantee accurate, timely, and compliant data collection and reporting.
- Identify and evaluate global ESG risks and opportunities, supporting the creation and monitoring of action plans to reduce environmental impact, enhance social responsibility, and strengthen governance.
- Further develop and further automate the ESG reporting structure.
- Supervise the consolidation and validation of ESG data from all production facilities and warehouses globally, ensuring data quality for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Train and mentor regional and local teams, building ESG awareness and competence throughout the organization.
- Coordinate periodic ESG reports (non-financial information) including the annual report.
- Maintain contact with external auditors and coordinate the non-financial annual audit.
- Prepare non financial data requirements for external stakeholders (or from banks).
