ESG Advisory Head of AI for Sustainability
The Global Head of AI for Sustainability will lead the strategic vision, development, and execution of KPMG’s ESG AI product program. This senior role is responsible for shaping the global roadmap for ESG AI innovation, aligning efforts across member firms, and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions that enable consistent, high-quality services to our clients with maximized profitability.
Your challenges
Define and champion the global ESG AI strategy, aligning product vision with KPMG’s sustainability goals, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
Oversee a multi-million-dollar portfolio of AI initiatives, ensuring commercial viability, ESG impact, and strategic alignment across regions.
Lead strategic planning with global ESG leaders, alliance executives, and senior partners to shape the AI roadmap and investment priorities.
Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of AI products—from ideation and validation to deployment and scale—embedding ethical design and measurable ESG outcomes.
Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams across geographies. Mentor senior product leaders and foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and resilience.
This is what you bring
- Minimum 8 years in global technology leadership roles, with direct accountability for product strategy, commercial outcomes, and cross-border delivery. This is a MUST HAVE to be considered for the role.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- Deep expertise in scaling AI-enabled solutions from concept to market, with a focus on ethical design, regulatory alignment, and measurable business impact.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and governance, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across executive leadership, technical teams, and cross-border member firms.
- Extensive experience in managing cross-functional, geographically distributed teams, including direct oversight of team structure, performance management, and capability development.
- Strong capability in overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, timely execution, and quality outcomes.

The Global Head of AI for Sustainability will lead the strategic vision, development, and execution of KPMG’s ESG AI product program. This senior role is responsible for shaping the global roadmap for ESG AI innovation, aligning efforts across member firms, and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions that enable consistent, high-quality services to our clients with maximized profitability.
As the primary interface between global ESG senior management, alliance partners, and AI delivery squads, this leader will create a streamlined, high-velocity product development function for the global firm network. They will be accountable for portfolio performance, strategic pivots, and stakeholder engagement across executive and technical domains.
The role will work closely with the global lead Partners for ESG Reporting, Climate and Nature, Social, Supply Chain and Valuations to AI enable their businesses. This includes prioritizing initiatives based on market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics to ensure commercial viability.
With direct oversight of up to a US$5M investment budget, this role will ensure strategic alignment and ROI across regions. The position demands advanced leadership, cross-functional influence, and deep expertise in AI, ESG frameworks, and alliance strategy.
The senior position will directly manage a team of AI Product Management professionals and provide virtual leadership for a 20+ FTE ESG AI delivery squad in collaboration with the KPMG Delivery Network (KDN) and Global Advisory Technology Enablement (GATE) teams.
In partnership with GTM and Alliances teams, the role will accelerate adoption across member firms, shaping and executing enablement plans that include targeted training, stakeholder engagement, and comprehensive support resources. The leader will define and track key portfolio metrics, ensuring visibility into project performance and benefits realisation.
